Victory Day marks the capture of Japanese General Tomoyuki Yamashita in Ifugao, which effectively ended World War II in the country.
The event highlights the sacrifices of wartime heroes, including many Igorot fighters, whose bravery secured peace and freedom for future Filipinos.
