University of Santo Tomas (UST) captured the NSAC 2026 College Basketball Campus Tour championship after defeating National University (NU), 95-84, on Sunday at the Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City.
The Growling Tigers fended off NU’s late rally behind key plays from Collins Akowe and Amiel Acido, who helped preserve and extend their lead in the closing minutes.
Finals MVP Mark Llemit led UST with a standout performance, finishing with 27 points, seven rebounds, and two assists, supported by Akowe’s double-double effort.
NU was paced by Reinhard Jumamoy, who tallied 18 points, eight assists, and four rebounds in the losing effort.
UST’s coaching staff credited the team’s chemistry and resilience, saying the victory serves as strong preparation for upcoming UAAP competitions.
