Actress Claudine Barretto filed a cyber libel complaint against showbiz commentator Cristy Fermin and her co-host Rommel Villamor, also known as Rommel Chika, at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
The complaint involves alleged remarks made about her on the YouTube program “Showbiz Now Na!” concerning her alleged bipolar disorder, financial support from her sister Gretchen Barretto, and hospitalization.
Barretto said she had repeatedly asked Fermin to stop discussing her since last year but decided to take legal action after the remarks allegedly continued.
She added that the controversy had hurt her and her children and said she was not open to settling the matter or accepting an apology.
When asked for her message to Fermin, Barretto replied, “Happy Halloween!”
