NO POWER DISCONNECTIONS FOR DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS UNTIL CHRISTMAS

The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has extended the suspension of electricity disconnections until Christmas for residential consumers using 200 kilowatt-hours or less per month.

Consumers with unpaid bills from May to July 2026 must pay by Nov. 26, while those with bills from August to October have until Dec. 26.

Disconnections may begin on Nov. 27 and Dec. 27, respectively, for consumers who miss the deadlines.

Households exceeding the 200-kWh monthly limit may face disconnection under applicable rules.

The ERC urged consumers to settle their bills on time to avoid losing electricity service.
