Prices of basic necessities and prime commodities will remain unchanged until Dec. 31, 2026, following an agreement between manufacturers and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Trade Secretary Cristina Roque said manufacturers committed to keeping prices stable despite high fuel and raw material costs.
She also assured the public that supplies are sufficient, urging consumers not to panic-buy or hoard goods.
The DTI will meet with manufacturers to discuss keeping prices of Noche Buena products stable for the Christmas season.
Meanwhile, farmers affected by El Niño can access existing loan programs through the DTI’s financing arm, Small Business Corp.
