Ayala Corporation, Globe Telecom, Mitsubishi Corporation, and KDDI Corporation have partnered to develop the Philippines’ first Intelligent City, with Makati CBD identified as the pilot area.
The project aims to use data, artificial intelligence, and advanced connectivity to transform urban living and improve mobility, energy, retail, and other key services.
It will leverage technologies such as the Internet of Things and AI to build more sustainable, resilient, and connected communities.
Company leaders said the initiative highlights the importance of digital infrastructure and collaboration in driving inclusive growth and nation-building.
Once implemented, the project is expected to serve as a model for future smart city developments across the country.
