The Mandaluyong City Fencing Club will hold the “Tuloy ang PagSulong: Developmental Fencers Tournament” on Oct. 25 at SM Center Shaw in Mandaluyong City to promote grassroots sports development.
Club founder and head coach Ariel Montinola said the event aims to give young fencers opportunities to gain competition experience, improve their skills, and build confidence.
Registration remains open until Oct. 23 for the Under 10 Mixed Épée event, while other categories have met their minimum participant requirements.
Participants will receive event T-shirts and commemorative keychains as part of the club’s effort to make the tournament memorable for young athletes and their families.
The club is also pursuing partnerships with European fencing brands PBT Fencing and OCTAV to support athlete development, improve equipment accessibility, and help grow fencing in the Philippines.
