The Philippine National Police (PNP) has intensified its manhunt for Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa after his one-week deadline to surrender expired.
PNP task groups have been organized in all 18 regions, with tracker teams deployed to locate and arrest the senator, who has a P50-million bounty on his head.
Police are also validating public tips, strengthening border security, and coordinating with the National Bureau of Investigation to prevent his possible escape.
PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. ordered officers to respect human rights and exercise maximum restraint to avoid armed confrontations.
Meanwhile, Dela Rosa’s lawyer urged police personnel to follow only lawful orders during the manhunt.
