Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) is on track to achieve a record consolidated core net income of P56.6 billion in 2026, up 12 percent from P50.6 billion last year, according to Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan.
The company’s core earnings rose 12 percent to P44.8 billion in the first nine months of the year, driven mainly by its distribution and power generation businesses.
Meralco’s revenue also rose 19 percent to P443.04 billion by the end of September.
Its capital expenditures reached P76 billion, including investments in renewable energy, battery storage projects, and improvements to its distribution network.
Pangilinan said the company remains focused on reliable electricity service, energy security, and long-term growth despite geopolitical tensions and the anticipated effects of El Niño.
