The Philippines has welcomed the peace agreement between the United States and Iran, expressing hope that it will lead to a permanent end to hostilities and lasting regional stability.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said it supports the deal reached through mediation efforts by Pakistan and other regional partners.
The agency also commended Pakistan, Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and other countries for helping facilitate dialogue and promote peace.
The DFA noted that the conflict caused significant humanitarian and economic damage, including loss of lives, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and global economic disruptions.
It reaffirmed the Philippines’ support for diplomacy and multilateral cooperation in resolving international conflicts.
