Thousands of public school students in Parañaque City will receive free uniforms and shoes ahead of the June 8 school opening, Councilor Pablo Olivarez II announced.
He said this is the first time kindergarten and elementary pupils in the city will benefit from the program, which was funded through an ordinance approved by the city council.
The initiative aims to ease the financial burden on parents while ensuring students are properly equipped for the new school year.
Distribution of uniforms and shoes has already begun across the city’s two districts.
Local officials said the program reflects the government’s continued commitment to supporting education and student welfare.
