NEW EPD CHIEF PUSHES DISCIPLINE, LAUNCHES SHIELD CRIME PLAN

Newly appointed Eastern Police District (Philippine National Police) Director Brig. Gen. Melecio Buslig Jr. has pledged strict enforcement of NCRPO’s five guiding principles to strengthen peace and order in Metro East.

On his first day as officer-in-charge, Buslig emphasized discipline, accountability, and adherence to police operational procedures during his arrival honors and command visit in Pasig City.

He warned that erring police officers will be held accountable, while those performing well will be recognized for their service.

Buslig also introduced the EPD SHIELD program, which focuses on barangay security, high visibility policing, community engagement, technology use, and decisive operations.

The initiative will be officially launched soon as part of efforts to boost crime prevention and public safety across the district.
