The Office of the Special Assistant to the President (OSAP) denied claims linking the Office of the President to DPWH projects cited in the so-called “Cabral files.”
OSAP clarified that it has no authority over the DPWH’s budget and does not identify or implement infrastructure projects.
Special Assistant Antonio Lagdameo Jr. called allegations suggesting OP involvement “false and misleading” and urged the public to avoid spreading unverified claims.
He emphasized that accountability must be based on facts, not speculation, and that OSAP supports ongoing investigations into the flood control issue.
The office affirmed it will cooperate with proper inquiries while continuing its mandated duties without distraction.
