GCash urged Filipinos to remain vigilant against online scams and fraud as millions prepare to travel for All Saints’ Day.
The e-wallet provider warned users about common schemes, including fake links, malicious QR codes, and scam messages hidden in legitimate SMS conversations.
It advised users to activate in-app one-time passwords (OTP) and use the GCash Security Center to protect their accounts and transactions.
Users may also avail of Scam Protection Insurance through GInsure, offering coverage of up to P15,000 for eligible scam-related losses.
GCash reminded the public to transact only through its official app and report suspicious activities through its Help Center or hotline 2882.
