GCash lowered its InstaPay transfer fee from PHP15 to PHP10 effective July 4.
The new rate applies to all InstaPay transactions, with no minimum transfer amount and a maximum limit of PHP50,000 per transaction.
GCash said its existing policy on free transfers between GCash accounts remains unchanged, allowing users up to 500 free send and receive transactions monthly before certain accounts are charged PHP5 per transaction.
The fee reduction follows a Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas directive requiring financial institutions to align interbank and intrabank transfer costs.
Maya also announced a similar reduction in its InstaPay transfer fees on July 4.
