Gabriela Women’s Party has formally requested the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to investigate alleged vote discrepancies and conduct a manual recount in the 2025 party-list elections.
The group, which has held a seat since 2004, is currently ranked 55th with 0.61% of the vote, placing it just outside the likely cutoff for representation in Congress.
Gabriela raised concerns over vote duplication and transmission errors reported by Comelec, which watchdog groups say have disenfranchised voters through millions of overvotes and undervotes.
The party stressed that these issues risk silencing marginalized sectors, including women, whom they represent.
Gabriela vowed to continue fighting for transparency and integrity in the election process to ensure genuine representation.
