Four Filipinos remain missing after a powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar on March 28, causing widespread destruction.
According to Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega, two of the missing individuals are a married couple who lived in a collapsed building.
Myanmar has requested international assistance as the death toll surpasses 1,700, while the Philippines has placed emergency medical teams on standby for deployment.
No Filipino casualties were reported in Thailand, which was also affected by the quake.
Authorities are urging Filipinos in Myanmar and Thailand to contact Philippine embassies for assistance as rescue efforts continue.
