The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and TikTok Shop signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) enhance their digital presence.
The partnership launched the “Unlad Lokal Program,” which aims to equip MSMEs with skills in content creation, live selling, and e-commerce strategies.
DTI Secretary Ma. Cristina Roque emphasized that the program will support MSMEs in adapting to the digital economy and help them thrive online.
TikTok Shop Philippines marketing lead Franco Aligaen highlighted the program’s rollout in Metro Manila, Pampanga, Cebu, and Davao, offering training on digital marketing and e-commerce skills.
The initiative aims to help small businesses grow by leveraging TikTok’s platform, reaching a broader customer base.
