Diesel prices could rise by P10 to P10.50 per liter on Sept. 22, while gasoline prices may increase by P4.50 to P5, according to Jetti Petroleum president Leo Bellas.
The expected hikes are driven by higher global oil prices and concerns over supply disruptions following attacks on key oil routes and refineries.
The final pump price adjustments will depend on the last trading day of the week.
Meanwhile, the government is seeking funding to restore its fuel subsidy program and is expanding measures to help vulnerable sectors cope with rising fuel costs.
The Department of Energy said the country has sufficient fuel stocks, with inventories equivalent to 60.8 days of diesel and 57.2 days of gasoline as of Sept. 14.
