The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said there will be no extension for the filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) for candidates in the Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections.
Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said aspirants must file within the May 5 to 7 schedule, warning that delays could disrupt preparations for the September 14 polls.
He stressed that the election timeline is tight and urged candidates to file early to avoid congestion.
On the first day of filing, 22 aspirants submitted their COCs for district representative posts.
A total of 32 district representatives will be elected to the Bangsamoro Parliament.
