The Office for Transportation Security (OTS) will enforce stricter security screening at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) ahead of the expected surge of travelers during Holy Week. OTS Administrator Gilberto Cruz said the agency will enhance coordination with airport authorities and law enforcement while activating its Transportation Operations Center for round-the-clock monitoring. Vacation leaves for screening officers assigned in critical areas have also been canceled, with 1,089 officers currently deployed across all NAIA terminals. Auditors will be stationed at airport gateways to ensure compliance with national and international security standards. Travelers are advised to arrive early, pack their own bags, and report suspicious individuals or unattended baggage to airport authorities.
