The Department of Education (DepEd), in partnership with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and Pag-IBIG Fund, has secured priority access for public school teachers and education personnel in upcoming housing fairs.
The initiative includes special lanes, on-site counseling, and assistance to guide educators on financing options, loan requirements, and housing benefits.
DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara said the program aims to help teachers, especially those with limited access to financing, secure affordable and decent homes amid rising property prices.
Registered employees will also receive Pag-IBIG Loan Value Cards to speed up loan processing, while shuttle services will be provided for participants attending the fairs.
The housing events will be held in Calamba City and Cebu City, showcasing more than 20,000 housing units for education sector workers.
