Newly appointed Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Giovanni Lopez has reshuffled key officials, assigning Joel Limpengco as officer-in-charge undersecretary for regional operations in Luzon.
Sherwin Galleros will replace Limpengco as OIC regional director of the DPWH National Capital Region, while Alwin Pido will take over Galleros’ former post as assistant regional director.
Meanwhile, former DPWH chief Vince Dizon blacklisted construction firms linked to contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya over alleged irregularities in flood control projects.
The blacklisted firms include four companies owned by the Discayas in Pasig City.
Two other firms involved in questionable flood control projects in Bulacan, Wawao Builders and SYMS Construction Trading, were also barred from government procurement.
