SENATE SUMMONS LALAMOVE FOUNDER TO EXPLAIN COMPANY ISSUES

The Senate committee on public services will issue a show-cause order against Lalamove founder and CEO Shing Chow for missing three consecutive hearings on digital labor platform regulations.

Committee chair Sen. Raffy Tulfo questioned the company’s repeated absences and ordered a subpoena for Chow to attend the next hearing.

Tulfo warned that an arrest warrant could be issued if Chow fails to appear again.

The Senate is seeking explanations from Lalamove regarding driver welfare and compensation issues.
