SAN MIGUEL BEER AND GINEBRA COLLIDE IN PBA QUARTERFINALS

San Miguel Beer and Barangay Ginebra are set to face off in a highly anticipated best-of-five quarterfinal series in the PBA Governors’ Cup playoffs, with both teams seeking another championship to strengthen their Season 50 campaigns.

San Miguel entered the matchup as the second seed in Group A after winning the Philippine Cup, while Ginebra secured the third seed in Group B after claiming the Commissioner’s Cup title.

Ginebra coach Tim Cone acknowledged the challenge of facing San Miguel but expressed confidence that his team could compete in what he expects to be an exciting series.

Ginebra will rely on import Jordan Murphy while still playing without Justin Brownlee, as San Miguel counters with import George King.

The series opens on October 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, following the opening game between Rain or Shine and Converge scheduled for 5:15 p.m.
