Malacañang on Thursday denied retired columnist Ramon Tulfo’s claim that former Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Jay Ruiz was removed over ₱50 million allegedly missing from his vault.
Tulfo made the allegation in a social media post on Wednesday, citing an undisclosed source and suggesting the funds were intended for influencers supporting the Marcos administration.
The post claimed the theft was unreported to the police and that the source of the money could not be explained.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the allegations are false, emphasizing that there is no truth to the claim.
Ruiz, who was replaced by former journalist Dave Gomez in July, was subsequently transferred to the Manila Economic and Cultural Office as a board member.
