National Police Commission (Napolcom) Vice Chairman Rafael Vicente Calinisan warned that criminology interns caught violating traffic rules, including riding without helmets, may be barred from police applications and Napolcom examinations.
He urged the public to submit photos and videos of violators for identification.
Calinisan said the move aims to address reckless behavior among criminology students who aspire to become police officers.
He also called on colleges and universities to strengthen discipline and improve their criminology programs.
Calinisan stressed that Napolcom is serious about implementing reforms to ensure only qualified and disciplined applicants enter the police force.
