GLOC-9 REVISITS HIS LEGACY THROUGH A COLLECTION OF CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Filipino rapper Gloc-9 reflected on his decades-long music career and the gradual loss of his creative drive as he learns to appreciate his achievements.

He released “Mga Ani ni Gloc-9,” his first vinyl album, on October 23 in collaboration with Universal Records Philippines and Asintada Management.

The 11-track collection features songs that helped define his career, including “Upuan,” “Sirena,” “Bagsakan,” and “Simpleng Tao.”

Gloc-9 said younger rappers such as Shanti Dope, Skusta Clee, Flow G, and Loonie continue to inspire him, adding that he believes new artists should have the freedom to shape Filipino rap.

Although he is no longer actively pursuing international recognition, he remains grateful for his accomplishments and encourages people to discover and develop their own talents.
