UNILEVER PHILIPPINES PUSHES SUSTAINABILITY GOALS TOWARD NET ZERO

Unilever Philippines has intensified its efforts to achieve net-zero emissions, reducing its Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 77% from 2015 levels by the end of 2025.

The company aims to eliminate these emissions by 2030 through renewable energy, solar rooftop installations, factory electrification, and a transition to hybrid electric vehicles.

It is also working with suppliers to reduce Scope 3 emissions through its global Supplier Climate Program and an expanded partnership with First Gen.

As an inaugural member of the Net Zero Carbon Alliance, Unilever Philippines is supporting collaboration among businesses and other sectors to accelerate the country’s shift to a low-carbon economy.

Sustainability Manager Regina Unson-Silerio stressed that climate action must be integrated across business operations, investments, supply chains, and product development to achieve measurable results.
