The National Police Commission (Napolcom) will file criminal complaints against vlogger Normal Mangusin, aka Francis Leo Marcos, over his alleged mockery of the police uniform.
Napolcom Commissioner Ralph Calinisan said Mangusin ignored previous warnings that the uniform must not be disrespected.
The commission is coordinating with the Philippine National Police to pursue charges, citing possible violations of the Revised Penal Code, Article 179, on illegal use of uniforms.
The controversy arose after another vlogger posted a photo claiming Mangusin borrowed a police uniform, which he denied, calling it digitally altered.
The PNP is investigating the incident while Napolcom stresses consequences for using the uniform for “clout.”
