Ateneo de Manila University developed an eKYC Extension Platform that allows people to verify their National ID identity using a code in areas with limited or no internet access.
The platform enables local government units and non-government organizations to verify beneficiaries without needing their own systems.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will operate the platform, while Ateneo will provide software, training, and technical support.
The encrypted, time-limited verification code is obtained in an area with internet access and can be presented at offline service offices.
The PSA and Ateneo aim to complete the transfer of the platform’s day-to-day management by the end of 2026.
