LACSON SUBMITS TAGUIG INFRASTRUCTURE RECORDS TO OMBUDSMAN

Sen. Panfilo Lacson has submitted documentary and testimonial evidence to the Office of the Ombudsman as part of his investigation into alleged irregularities in infrastructure projects in Taguig.

He said the evidence could support possible charges of plunder, malversation of public funds, and violations of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

Lacson alleged the projects involved ghost projects, double appropriations, and other fraudulent practices dating back to 2019.

His office estimated that Taguig implemented around P14.4 billion worth of infrastructure projects from 2020 to 2025.

The submission comes amid an ongoing political dispute between Lacson and Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano.
