LACSON SAYS MINORITY SENATORS WERE UNFAIR IN TULFO CASE VOTE

Sen. Panfilo Lacson criticized three minority senators for opposing the Senate Electoral Tribunal’s (SET) dismissal of a motion seeking to revive a petition to remove Sen. Erwin Tulfo over citizenship issues.

Senators Robin Padilla, Camille Villar, and Pia Cayetano reportedly voted against the majority decision, which passed 6-3.

The SET rejected the motion filed by Berteni Causing for being submitted beyond the deadline and failing to meet procedural requirements.

Lacson praised the three Supreme Court justices and three other senators who voted to dismiss the appeal.

The three minority senators had yet to issue a statement regarding Lacson’s criticism.
