The House of Representatives approved on third and final reading a bill expanding and strengthening the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) to provide continued support for low-income families.
Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III said the measure aims to improve the conditional cash transfer program by expanding coverage, enhancing benefits, and making assistance more responsive to rising economic pressures.
The bill, which passed with a 224–3 vote, amends Republic Act No. 11310 and is intended to help break intergenerational poverty through sustained access to education and health services.
Dy emphasized that the expanded 4Ps reflects the government’s long-term investment in human capital and commitment to social protection.
He added that the program ensures dignity and stability for millions of Filipino families while helping them move toward a more secure future.
