The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is expanding its processing centers to assist more families and individuals living on the streets through its Pag-abot Program.
The agency said the move will strengthen nationwide outreach, temporary shelter, and reintegration efforts, especially during the rainy season.
Two Pag-abot centers are currently operating in Pasay City and Cebu, while facilities in Pampanga and the Cordillera Administrative Region are being upgraded.
So far, the program has profiled nearly 30,000 individuals and successfully reintegrated more than 21,000 beneficiaries into their home communities.
The DSWD said it remains committed to helping vulnerable individuals achieve stable living conditions and avoid returning to street life.
