CASTRO HITS BACK AT IMEE OVER ‘IMPAKTA’ REMARK

Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Claire Castro hit back at Sen. Imee Marcos after the latter posted a social media video that appeared to refer to her using the term “impakta.”

Castro responded, “It takes one to know one,” adding that she would not resort to personal attacks and would instead continue fighting misinformation.

She also said she had no intention of taking what she described as the senator’s “crown” of using ad hominem remarks.

The exchange comes amid ongoing disagreements between the Marcos administration and the senator over issues related to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Malacañang has maintained its position that while the Philippines will not rejoin the ICC, it continues to honor its obligations under Interpol.
