TESDA EXPANDS SKILLS TRAINING AND INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS TO BOOST FILIPINO EMPLOYMENT IN 2026

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is prioritizing wider access to training, digital transformation, and stronger industry partnerships to improve employment opportunities for Filipinos in 2026. The agency said its industry-driven Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs are helping increase the employability of graduates through updated training standards and certifications. TESDA aims to provide scholarships to around 20,000 learners for the 2026–2027 academic year, focusing on sectors such as information and communication technology, healthcare, agriculture, and advanced manufacturing. More than 260,000 graduating learners are also expected to receive TESDA National Certificates without paying assessment fees, helping them secure better job opportunities. The agency continues to work with partners such as LandBank and OWWA to strengthen scholarship, certification, skills development, and reintegration programs for students, workers, and overseas Filipinos.
