VP SARA DUTERTE CALLS FOR PRESIDENT MARCOS TO STEP DOWN

Vice President Sara Duterte called on President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to resign, accusing his administration of corruption, abuse, and political harassment against her family.

She criticized Marcos over the arrest of her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, and the cases filed against her, including the ongoing impeachment proceedings.

Malacañang official Claire Castro responded by questioning Duterte’s call for Marcos to step down and asking whether she was rushing to take over the presidency.

Duterte made the statements after her arraignment on grave threats charges was deferred while her lawyers challenged the proceedings and the court’s jurisdiction.

She vowed to continue facing the cases against her while pursuing legal remedies over other complaints involving her family and allies.
