Bulacan is among the local government units set to receive assistance under the national government’s Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Assistance Program (DRRAP) to help communities recover from calamities.
Gov. Daniel Fernando confirmed the development on Nov. 6 following the ceremonial turnover of DRRAP funds led by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at Malacañang Palace on Nov. 5.
The funding is expected to support the repair of damaged infrastructure and public facilities, restore livelihoods, and ensure the delivery of essential services to affected residents.
Fernando said the assistance would speed up rehabilitation efforts and help communities regain access to schools, healthcare facilities, markets, and other vital services.
He also vowed to strengthen coordination with the national government to ensure timely assistance and make the province more resilient against future disasters.
