President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Marcos inaugurated the 279-seat Likhang Filipino Theatre along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City to provide local artists a venue to showcase their work.
The new theatre aims to promote Filipino creativity, support performers, and develop local talent.
It is part of the Likhang Filipino Creative Lab, which serves as a space for artists to learn, create, and collaborate.
The initiative also seeks to promote Filipino craftsmanship, design, and locally made products.
Marcos said the theatre will provide more opportunities for Filipino artists to share their work with local and international audiences.
