Around 97.7 percent of barangays nationwide, or 38,523 in total, have complied with the Barangay Full Disclosure Policy (BFDP), the highest level ever recorded, the DILG reported.
Launched in 2019, the policy requires LGUs to publicly disclose quarterly financial documents, including budgets, income and expenditures, NTA utilization, procurement plans, and notices of award.
At higher LGU levels, 79 provinces, 142 cities, and 1,408 municipalities are also fully compliant.
DILG officials said the high compliance supports transparent, accountable, and effective local governance and highlighted digitalization efforts, such as automated business permits and e-payment systems in over 1,000 barangays.
The department described its 2025 accomplishments under the MAKAMASA and TAMA initiatives as the foundation for participatory and efficient public service.
