MSME INCLUSION TAKES CENTER STAGE AT SEPT. 22 BUSINESS FORUM

The Philippines, as this year’s ASEAN chair, will host a high-level inclusive business forum on September 22 in Pasay City to promote greater MSME participation in regional and global value chains.

Trade Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo said the forum aims to support inclusive growth by improving access to markets, financing, technology and business opportunities for MSMEs, farmers and community enterprises.

The OECD will also launch its report on how inclusive businesses can strengthen ASEAN’s economy.

The forum builds on ASEAN initiatives adopted since the Philippines first introduced inclusive business to the regional agenda in 2017.

It will also feature the ASEAN Inclusive Business Awards, recognizing enterprises from across the region, including the Philippines’ Kawayan Collective.
