Manila Water is urging customers in its East Zone concession area to participate in its scheduled August desludging program to help protect public health and prevent water pollution.
The free service, conducted every five years, removes sludge from septic tanks for proper treatment before safe disposal.
Desludging teams will visit selected barangays in Rizal, Pasig, Marikina, Quezon City, Antipolo, and nearby areas throughout August.
Manila Water said regular septic tank maintenance helps reduce pollution in rivers, creeks, and groundwater sources.
Customers in affected areas will receive advance notice and are encouraged to ensure their septic tanks are accessible during the scheduled service.
