Presidential Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro urged Sen. Imee Marcos on Sunday not to make light of President Marcos’ health.
The warning came after the senator posted a video claiming the President fell ill because no one at Malacañang was taking care of him.
The 68-year-old President was admitted to St. Luke’s Medical Center for diverticulitis but described the condition as common, non-life-threatening, and related to stress and aging.
Castro said the President deserves genuine care and criticized Marcos for pretending to show concern while making jokes.
In response, Imee Marcos insisted in her video that those around her brother were not properly attending to him.
