Cavite 4th district Rep. Francisco “Kiko” Barzaga may face a second ethics complaint as Lakas-CMD considers filing charges over his recent social media post.
Barzaga accused Lakas-CMD members, including party president Rep. Martin Romualdez, of being groomed as state witnesses in a flood control scandal, claims Lakas leaders strongly deny.
Lakas-CMD Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong called Barzaga’s accusations “pure nonsense” and criticized him for spreading lies without evidence.
This comes after the National Unity Party already filed an ethics case against Barzaga last month for alleged violations of the House Code of Conduct and other laws.
Lakas-CMD officials urged Barzaga to stop his “childish behavior” and focus on legislative work instead of making baseless accusations.
