The government plans to expand its socialized housing program to include beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
Officials from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) met to discuss ways to assist 4Ps beneficiaries and street dwellers under the expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) program.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling proposed data sharing with DSWD to identify beneficiaries needing housing support, whether temporary shelters or permanent homes.
The initiative aligns with President Marcos’ directive to prioritize the poorest of the poor in housing programs.
Both agencies aim not only to build houses but also to provide dignified living conditions that encourage beneficiaries to become productive citizens and proud homeowners.
