The House of Representatives approved House Bill 11400 on third reading, aiming to expand benefits for senior citizens.
The bill broadens the existing 20-percent discount and VAT exemption to include online sales, food supplements, transport network services, toll fees, and club memberships.
It also exempts senior citizens from number coding schemes and parking fees in commercial and government establishments.
Additionally, the bill grants discounts on traffic fines, water, and electricity bills within specified consumption limits.
The measure also introduces an 8.5 percent discount on necessities from eligible retailers, ensuring broader financial relief for senior citizens.
