Malacañang said work in government offices will be suspended starting 1 p.m. on Sept. 28 for the 34th National Family Week.
The order covers Executive branch agencies, government-owned corporations, and state universities and colleges.
The shortened work hours aim to give employees and their families time to observe the occasion.
Agencies providing basic and health services, disaster response, and other vital services will continue operating.
Malacañang also encouraged other government branches and the private sector to consider suspending work for the celebration.
