The European Union is providing €150,000, or about P10.9 million, in humanitarian aid to help more than 32,000 people affected by severe habagat flooding across Luzon.
The funding will support the Philippine Red Cross in providing relief supplies, food, safe drinking water, and hygiene kits.
Mobile health teams will also offer medical consultations, medicines, health information, and mental health support.
The EU said more than 10.5 million people in 11 regions had been affected by the flooding as of Sept. 14, with over 120,100 displaced to evacuation centers.
The latest assistance is part of the EU’s contribution to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ Disaster Response Emergency Fund.
