Justice Undersecretary Jojo Cadiz has resigned following allegations by former lawmaker Zaldy Co that he acted as President Marcos Jr.’s “bagman.”
Reports linked Cadiz to a newly formed construction company that secured around P200 million in projects since 2023.
The Palace confirmed his resignation on December 5, emphasizing that officials facing potential corruption are voluntarily stepping aside as a sign of respect to the president and the public.
President Marcos has yet to formally address the allegations, and the administration welcomes any investigation.
Co has also accused former officials Lucas Bersamin and Amenah Pangandaman of corruption, claiming a broader P100-billion scheme involving Marcos and his aides.
